Chris began her association with Clay while living in Scotland and like most people started on the wheel. But she soon realised that her fascination with the medium was its ability to be utilised as a sculptural tool in free-form hand building and the use of colour in glazing and decorating these items.

Most of her work is inspired by nature and the observation of the natural environment and she likes to create items with a functional form and pleasing aesthetic.  Playing with clay is an on-going learning experience for Chris and there are always new techniques and skills to master, and as such her work is very varied..
