Membership Information
We welcome expressions of interest for membership of the South of the River Potters’ Club, however places are limited.
We expect that new members will have some experience with ceramics but this does not mean that you need to be an expert! Nevertheless you MUST have successfully completed a minimum of two terms of tuition (minimum 8 week terms) at a recognised ceramics studio such as Karlup.
Because members have 24/7 access to the Club’s facilities, it is necessary that you have a good understanding of how to work with clay and use the equipment and have a good comprehension of the health and safety issues that are associated with the various processes.
Membership applications are processed biannually (early and mid-year), and suitable applicants will be added to the next round and will be notified of the times when interviews and Karlup studio orientations are being conducted.
Before you apply PLEASE READ the following three requirements -
you have a good understanding of how to work with clay, use the equipment and work in a shared ceramic studio
have a good comprehension of the health and safety issues specific to ceramics
be prepared to be a responsible and active member within the Club
### Beginners must have at least TWO TERMS of ceramic classes completed prior to applying for membership.
