Arrival of new kiln

In 2019 a project was begun to acquire a new, larger kiln which would eventually be located in a new ceramics facility which, at that stage, was still being negotiated. The kiln was purchased with the assistance of a grant from the Dept. of Industry , Innovations & Science through the office of local MP, Ben Morton. On June 24, 2020 the new Woodrow kiln arrived. The skillful unloading and installation process was great to watch and soon the kiln was sitting in its new home and ready to go. It is much bigger than our previous largest kiln and Graham wasted no time in packing the first load. It has since been in constant use and has been particularly valuable in dealing with the large number of pieces generated by the children’s classes.
