Elizabeth Miocevich-Turner (1937 - 2024)
Elizabeth was introduced to ceramics at the Willoughby Workshop Art Centre in Sydney in the 1980’s, studying under Renata de Lambert and Barbara Campbell-Allen. During that time she had access to gas and electric kilns and enjoyed working with shino glazes. Elizabeth had the experience of raku and pit firings with Renata at her studio in Maianbar near the Royal National Park south of Sydney and also the opportunity to fire an anagama kiln with Barbara and members of Club Le Pot, of which she was a member.
Elizabeth returned to Perth in 1993 and has been a dedicated and generous member of South of the River Potters Club for many years. She was recently invested as an Honorary Life Member together with Eve Gellatly and Barb Reeve.
